Dr. Sheri practices family and cosmetic dentistry, and is certified for the use of conscious sedation, Invisalign invisible braces and dental implant placement procedures. Her outgoing personality and enthusiasm is enjoyed by all her patients, especially children with whom she works extremely well. She is happiest when she helps her patients achieve enhanced smiles and self-esteem and when she creates a positive experience for patients that have come to her fearful of dentists.
Dr. Sheri looks forward to caring for the dental needs of Durham families for many years to come in our Whitby office. She is a proud resident of Whitby and strives to support the broader Durham community; providing dental education to families at schools and fairs and during Rogers TV appearances, and by offering free dental days.
When she’s not working, Dr. Sheri enjoys spending time at the cottage, playing squash, snowboarding or just reading a good book, but most of all, spending time with her husband, daughter Emily and son Jason.
Dr. Mark is passionate about dentistry. He graduated from the University of Western Ontario Medical Biophysics program and was selected as a gold medal recipient for being the top graduate of his academic program. Following this, he continued his studies at the University of Western Ontario dental school, graduating in 2010.
Although he enjoys all aspects of dentistry, Dr. Mark has a very special interest in all surgical procedures including implant placement and full mouth rehabilitation. He takes great pleasure in transforming his patients’ smiles and seeing the joy it brings them. Dr. Mark also excels in working with children and is excited to see families grow with him in the future.
Dr. Mark resides in the Durham region and is a proud member of the rotary club. He is proud to be helping the Durham community, offering free dental day programs semi-annually and dental education segments on Rogers TV.
In his spare time Dr. Mark enjoys watching the NBA, playing basketball, painting on canvas, watching movies and spending time with his wife, son and daughter.
Dr. Ryan Margel, DMD, MS, FRCD(C) is our Endodontist who specializes in root canals. Originally from Toronto, he graduated with distinction from York University with a major Mathematics. In 2009, Dr. Margel obtained his dental degree from The University of Pennsylvania. He then went on to work as a general dentist for two years prior to embarking on a two-year specialty program at Marquette University in Endodontics. His Masters thesis investigated the anatomical complexities of molar root canals. Dr. Margel is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters, sports, exercise, and traveling.
Dr. Ryan Schure earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Toronto. He went on to complete his Master of Science degree with advanced training in periodontology and implant surgery at the University of Toronto. His research on the relationships between cardiovascular diseases and periodontal diseases has been published and presented at international meetings.
As a board-certified periodontist in Canada, Dr. Schure’s scope of practice includes the non-surgical and surgical treatment of periodontal diseases, periodontal tissue regeneration and periodontal soft tissue grafting. He also has extensive training in the surgical placement of dental implants, hard tissue grafting (including guided bone regeneration and maxillary sinus augmentation) and soft tissue grafting to enhance the esthetics of dental implants. Dr. Schure believes in prevention first and foremost. He strives to provide his patients with the best treatment options.
A graduate of Durham College, Patricia is a nationally Certified Level II Dental Assistant who has been serving our patients and practitioners with dedication for over 20 years. She began her career here as a dental assistant and over the years grew with our practice, most recently taking over as office manager, a role she thoroughly enjoys. As a manager, she takes a hands on approach so don’t be surprised to see her at the front desk or in the treatment rooms helping out her team. Outside of work, Pat enjoys reading, exercising and hopes one day to travel the world.
Amanda has been a dedicated member of the Margolian Dentistry team since May 2010. She attended Durham College for Dental Reception & Administration and Dental Assisting. She is a Treatment Coordinator at our office and takes great pride in helping you understand your treatment and assisting you long the way with any questions you may have. She is very organized which will help make your process as smooth and effortless as possible.
In her spare-time she enjoys spending quality time with her husband and son. She also enjoys a good girl’s night and being with her family. She likes keeping an active lifestyle embracing each beautiful season we have; whether it be on the slopes in the winter, on the water in summer or a crisp fall walk.

Virginia is one of our incredible treatment coordinators at Margolian Dentistry. She is originally from South Africa but has been living in Canada for several years now. Her educational background includes a degree in Criminology and a minor in Forensic psychology from Ontario Tech University. Virginia takes pride in providing our patients with a positive experience and ensuring each patient leaves with a smile. When she is not hard at work, she enjoys spending time with her family/friends, painting, cooking and watching her favourite tv shows. She looks forward to assisting you with all of your treatment questions the next time you are in the office.
Lisa has been a dental professional for over 16 years, certified as a self-initiated dental hygienist and a level II dental assistant. She has been providing hygiene care in our office for over 8 years. Her caring nature and gentle but thorough approach to hygiene is appreciated by all our patients. She is a mother of three young active children and enjoys spending her time with them and her husband. She enjoys physical fitness, playing basketball, skiing and running, and loves to read a great book.
Michelle is a valued member of our Whitby team. She has a very positive energy and makes all her patients comfortable with her gentle and thorough work. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her friends and family.
Cassandra graduated top of her class at the Toronto College of Dental Hygiene. Cassandra strives to ensure everyone she treats feels comfortable and leaves happy, especially children and nervous patients. She believes that being knowledgeable, understanding and honest are of the most important things in this field.
Outside of the office, Cassandra enjoys educating the community on oral health, tutoring dental hygiene, travelling, trying new activities, spending time with loved ones and can’t resist a home cooked steak dinner.
Carly graduated from Dental Hygiene in 2017 from Canadore College. She grew up on a farm in Lindsay, so naturally is a lover of all animals and getting her boots dirty. You can find Carly enjoying the outdoors, from back country camping, hiking and long walks with her Dog Tessa. Carly also enjoys rainy Sundays full of baking and a good glass of wine.
Carly can’t wait to see you for your next cleaning, and hopes she can make your smile sparkle again.
Josephine is one of our amazing dental assistants. She loves working with our patients chairside as well as in our dental
Laboratory. She loves music and singing. She also really enjoys helping people and making them smile! Josephine is originally from the Philippines and has been living and working here in Canada for 13 years now. She can’t wait to meet you around the office!
Rovelyn completed her Dental Assisting program in 2018. She excelled in her program and gained a Diploma for level 1 and 2 Dental Assisting. She has been with us at Margolian Dentistry ever since and is a loyal, dedicated and hardworking member of the team. She loves working with people and really enjoys both doing chair side assisting and laboratory work.
Outside of work she loves spending time with her husband and two children. Her family loves singing and is always doing karaoke at home.
