ORAL CANCER SCREENING
At Margolian Dentistry we believe in disease prevention when it comes to your oral health. This is why we offer the use of the VELscopeoral cancer screening technology. The small handheld device works by emitting a harmless blue light causing the oral tissue to fluoresce. This allows us to examine the mouth as healthy tissues fluoresce in a distinctly different pattern than diseased tissues such as cancerous, fungal, viral or bacterial infections.
Screening for such lesions allow early detection and intervention. Caught earlier, diseases can be treated less aggressively and with more success.
