Invisalign is an advanced teeth-straightening alternative to traditional wired braces. With traditional braces, good oral hygiene is often difficult to maintain without intensive home and in-office care.
The Invisalign method of aligning teeth involves wearing custom made aligners or trays that apply gentle pressure on the teeth and gradually move them over time. Each custom made aligner is designed on a 3D computer simulation that precisely move the teeth. This simulation is reviewed with you prior to the start of treatment to allow you the opportunity to make any changes you see fit and ensure you are satisfied with the final alignment position. The aligners are made of clear BPA-free plastic and are removed prior to eating, brushing and flossing. For best results, the aligners are to be worn a minimum of 22 hours per day.
Every case is unique and requires treatment of varying durations. A standardized fee cannot be given without proper assessment of your individual needs. Cost of your Invisalign treatment will vary based on the severity of crowding and the number aligning trays needed to achieve the end result. The price, however, is comparable to traditional braces.
Dental insurance plans cover Invisalign in the same manner as conventional braces. Payment plans can be arranged if there is no coverage for it.
At Margolian dentistry we improve your Invisalign treatment experience by incorporating our advanced 3D digital iTero scanner. The scanner is used instead of the traditional gag inducing, goop-filled dental impressions. This state of the art technology allows us to take a highly accurate digital impression of your mouth off of which your Invisalign aligners are fabricated.
The iTero scanner is all about keeping you comfortable while delivering precise imagery, without the goop or gagging associated with conventional impressions. After just minutes the iTero scanner creates a custom simulated 3D model of your new smile after Invisalign treatment. This allows you more input and control over your smile design and enables you to make a more informed decision about your Invisalign treatment plan.
