CBCT DENTAL SCANNER

Cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) provides three-dimensional images to assist with planning and executing complicated dental procedures.  One of its most important surgical uses is for implant treatment planning. Our traditional 2D (two dimensional) images offer us information only on 2 axes but not on the overall volume of bone and not to the accuracy level of our CBCT. When placing dental implants from a single tooth replacement to a full mouth reconstruction, knowing the exact volume of bone and exact location of the vital anatomical structures we need to avoid, is essential.

Dental CBCT can also be used for:

  • Treatment planning of orthodontic issues
  • Surgical planning for impacted teeth
  • Diagnosing temporomandibular joint disorder (TMJ)
  • Dental implant treatment
  • Evaluation of intra-oral structures such as the nerve canals, sinus and nasal cavities
  • Detecting and treating jaw cysts, tumors and other pathologies
  • Determining bone structure and tooth orientation
  • Assessing root and nerve anatomy for root canal treatment
  • Diagnosing tooth and jaw fractures
